Free is for company-domain signups. Signing up with a personal email address (gmail.com, hotmail.com, …) gets a reduced Free tier: 50 validations / month, results retained 30 days.
How overage works
Paid plans include a monthly validation quota. Beyond it, extra validations are metered at the plan’s per-validation rate — up to an overage cap that is on by default: 5,000 extra validations on Starter, 25,000 on Growth. You can raise, lower or remove the cap in the console at any time.
When the cap is reached, further requests are rejected with HTTP 429 (overage-cap-reached) until you raise the cap, upgrade, or the next month starts. The Free tier stops at its quota the same way. Either way, your bill never exceeds what you have explicitly allowed.
Quotas reset per calendar month (UTC). Rate limits and quota state are visible on every API response via X-RateLimit-* headers — details in the API quickstart.
